The Tamil Nadu government’s special medical initiative, ‘Nalam Kaakkum Stalin’ (Stalin for Public Health), has benefitted a total of 92,836 people across the state in just two weeks.
Launched by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on August 2, these camps are held every Saturday in both rural and urban areas on a zonal basis.
The camps offer a wide range of healthcare services, including blood tests, screenings for tuberculosis and cancer, and specialist consultations in fields such as general medicine and cardiology.
On the opening day, 44,418 people availed themselves of the services. In the second week, another 48,418 people participated, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 92,836, according to the State Department of Public Health.
