{"id":1677,"date":"2025-11-28T13:59:37","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T13:59:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/namadhunagaram.com\/?p=1677"},"modified":"2025-11-28T13:59:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T13:59:47","slug":"minister-sivasankar-launches-monthly-pass-system-on-chennai-one-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/namadhunagaram.com\/?p=1677&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Minister Sivasankar Launches Monthly Pass System on \u2018Chennai One\u2019 App"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Chennai, Nov. 28:<\/strong><br>To make public transport more convenient for Chennai residents using the Metro Rail, Electric Trains, and MTC buses, a unified digital ticketing app named <strong>\u2018Chennai One\u2019<\/strong> has been developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The app was created by the <strong>Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (CUMTA)<\/strong> and was launched in September 2022. So far, more than <strong>11 lakh users<\/strong> have downloaded and are actively using the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a new upgrade, the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has introduced the option to purchase <strong>\u20b91,000 and \u20b92,000 monthly passes<\/strong> in a <strong>digital smart card format<\/strong> through the Chennai One app. This new feature was officially launched yesterday by <strong>Transport Minister S.
