Alliance Confident of Victory in Over 200 Constituencies
PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss on Thursday expressed strong confidence that the AIADMK–PMK alliance will secure victory in more than 200 constituencies in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He made this statement while addressing a public meeting in the Chengalpattu district.
Public Dissatisfaction With DMK Government
Speaking at the event, Anbumani Ramadoss criticised the ruling DMK government, stating that public dissatisfaction has been steadily increasing. He pointed to repeated electricity tariff hikes, rising cost of living, and the growing drug menace as major issues affecting the daily lives of people across the state.
Demand for Political Change
According to Anbumani, people are now looking for a strong political alternative that can address their concerns and provide stable governance. He said the AIADMK–PMK alliance has been formed with the clear objective of bringing a change in government and restoring people’s trust in administration.
People’s Support for the Alliance
He further stated that the alliance enjoys widespread support among the public and is confident of translating this support into a decisive electoral victory. Anbumani Ramadoss added that the 2026 Assembly election would mark a major turning point in Tamil Nadu politics, paving the way for a new government led by the AIADMK–PMK alliance.
